As a key public service facility in Huairou Science City, this project covers a total construction area of 50,000 square meters, including 16,400 square meters of underground space. It is planned to accommodate 300 beds and features core functional areas such as basic medical rooms, fever clinics, and supporting facilities. Upon completion and commissioning, the project will further enhance the medical service infrastructure of the Huairou District Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital, comprehensively improve the regional capability to provide comprehensive maternal and child health services throughout the life cycle, benefit the vast number of women and children in the jurisdiction, and provide high-quality medical support for the construction of Huairou Science City.
As a hospital building, the Huairou District Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital project differs from other projects in its design. It adopts a specialized seismic fortification and shock absorption and isolation design scheme, with the above-ground steel structure supported by 165 shock isolation bearings. In the event of an earthquake, it can effectively dissipate seismic energy, reduce the damage to the main structure of the building, and ensure the safety of people’s property and lives.
