The Yunnan Provincial National Traditional Chinese Medicine Inheritance and Innovation Center Project is located in Xiaobanqiao Subdistrict, Guandu District, south of Yunxiu Road and west of Anhe Road. It is being built in reliance on the project of the First Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine / Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Yunnan Provincial Ethnic Medicine Hospital). The project has an estimated total investment of RMB 340 million, is designed with 300 beds, and has a total gross floor area of approximately 38,462.6 square meters. It is a key livelihood project for the hospital to deepen its inheritance efforts, optimize its service layout, and consolidate its development foundation.
Upon completion, the Inheritance and Innovation Center will become a science and innovation hub for using traditional Chinese medicine and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine techniques and methods to improve the diagnosis and treatment of major and intractable diseases, using modern science and technology to elucidate the mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine’s therapeutic effects, researching and developing new traditional Chinese medicines and new technological equipment, enhancing the clinical research level of traditional Chinese medicine, and incubating traditional Chinese medicine inheritance and innovation teams and high-level talents.
The project adopts a dual-bearing seismic isolation and damping design to extend the structure’s natural vibration period and dissipate seismic energy. The seismic isolation and damping products used include rubber isolation bearings manufactured and supplied by Yunnan Gowe Machinery Technology Co., Ltd. In addition, fire-resistant bearings and other seismic isolation and damping products are also used. Such high-performance isolation products can effectively mitigate the impact of earthquakes and other external forces on buildings, significantly improving the building’s seismic resistance and safety performance.
Upon completion, the project will further enhance the hospital’s capacity for traditional Chinese medicine inheritance and innovation and its service level, and will play a positive role in supporting the development of Healthy Yunnan and meeting the health needs of the people.
